iDharma works without an account. Your choices stay on your device. We collect very little, never sell data and show no ads.
iDharma ("we") makes the iDharma website at idharma.in and the iDharma app for Android. It shows tithi, festivals, vrats and puja timings for your city, and a library of chalisas, aartis and mantras. This policy explains what information the website and the app use, why, and the choices you have.
Your city, language, tradition, the regions you follow, saved readings, your place in a reading, reminders and display settings are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us. Removing the app or clearing the browser data deletes them. You can also use "Reset saved preferences" in Settings.
Reminders you set are alarms on your own phone. On the website a reminder is only a note on your device; you can add the event to your own calendar.
If you choose "Use my location", your phone or browser gives the app your approximate position once, only to pick the nearest city for festival times. The position is used on your device and is not sent to us or stored by us. You can always choose a city by name instead, and you can turn location permission off in your phone settings.
When you search for a place by name, the text you type is sent to Open-Meteo, a free place-search service, to find matching places. Nothing else is sent with it.
If you turn on festival or daily notifications in the Android app, your phone gets a notification token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. We keep that token with the topics you chose, the app version, the phone system version and the app language, so we can send the notifications and count subscribers. It contains no name, email, account or location. Turning notifications off removes your topics, and a record not used for 90 days is deleted.
If you send a note from Help and contact, we receive the email address and the message you type. We use them only to reply and to fix problems, and delete them when they are no longer needed for that. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a robot, is sending it.
You do not need an account to use iDharma. Signing in with Google is used only by our own team to edit content. If signing in is offered to everyone in a later version, this policy will say what is stored before it is switched on.
Some readings have audio made by our team with the ElevenLabs text-to-speech service. Playing the audio downloads the file from our server; nothing about you is sent to ElevenLabs.
Our website and server run on Cloudflare. Like any website, the server sees your internet address when your device asks for a page or a file. We use it only briefly to stop abuse, such as too many requests in a minute, and we do not build profiles from it. We use no advertising, no analytics trackers and no third-party cookies.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The only services that handle information for us are those named here: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google Firebase (notifications and team sign-in) and Open-Meteo (place search). They act on our instructions.
iDharma is a general audience service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can use iDharma without giving any personal information. You can turn location and notifications off at any time. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, see Delete your data or write to us from Help and contact. We will answer within 30 days.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, show a notice in the app.
